World of Outlaws, Tri-City Cancel Late Model Portion of September Event

World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series presented by DIRTVision and Tri-City Speedway officials have agreed to cancel the Late Model portion of the Summer Cup Clash scheduled for Sept. 26-27.

After discussions with Kevin and Tammy Gundaker, they felt due to a tough financial season, hindered by multiple rainouts, it would be in the track’s best interest to shift its focus to smaller investment shows to close out the season.

“A year ago, when we had a vision and agreement to host this combined event, we never anticipated having as tough a season as we’ve had.  At this time, this is a very tough but necessary decision that Tri-City Speedway must make,” Tammy Gundaker said.

If you purchased a ticket in advance for the Tri-City event originally scheduled for Sept. 26-27, you will receive a face-value credit to your MyDirtTickets.com account – good for two years – to be used toward any World of Outlaws event available at WorldofOutlaws.com/tix. If a credit to your account does not work, you have until Sept. 27 to request a refund.

Tri-City Speedway will still host the MARS Modified Championship 21st annual “Mod Mania” presented by Summit Racing Equipment, Sept. 25-27.  More details to come at www.marsracingseries.com

The World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series presented by DIRTVision 2025 season continues with a doubleheader in Georgia, starting with Needmore Speedway on Friday, Sept. 12, and Senoia Raceway on Saturday, Sept. 13.

With the Tri-City doubleheader canceled, the next round of the Coltman Farms Racing Cup will take place at Boothill Speedway during the World of Outlaws Bayou Classic, Oct. 10-11.
