NASCAR and The Rolling Stones announce collaboration
NASCAR and The Rolling Stones announced a collaboration on Wednesday, leading into race weekend at Chicagoland Speedway. It will celebrate both the sport and the upcoming release of The Rolling Stones' new studio album, Foreign Tongues, on July 10. There will be officially licensed merchandise, two limited-edition NASCAR-themed collector vinyl editions of the album, original content, and a one-of-a-kind fan experience in Chicago.
Additionally, a NASCAR show car will be transformed into a Rolling Stones listening lounge. The custom-designed vehicle will travel around Chicago and allow fans to hear music from the upcoming album.
“For generations, NASCAR and The Rolling Stones have captivated fans through unforgettable live experiences and a shared spirit of performance,” said Megan Malayter, NASCAR Vice President of Licensing and Consumer Products. “While one takes place on the racetrack and the other on the stage, both are fueled by passion, energy and life on the road. This collaboration brings those worlds together in a unique way, giving fans exclusive content, limited-edition collectible vinyl’s, and immersive experiences that celebrate the connection between racing and rock & roll.”
To launch the campaign, drivers Jesse Love, Connor Zilisch, Carson Hocevar and creator Cleetus McFarland will be featured in a film with music from the album. It shows the drivers as a touring rock band to draw a connection between life on the road for a music tour and life traveling the NASCAR schedule.
