Dystany Spurlock Returns to Richmond for NASCAR Homecoming Week
Dystany Spurlock will make her Team Reaume debut this Friday at Richmond Raceway, driving the No. 2 Ford F-150 in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series. The historic weekend marks Spurlock’s third attempt at a Truck Series start after becoming the first Black female driver to compete in the series earlier this season.
Backed by Foxxtecca, Spurlock enters Richmond with an impressive resume across multiple forms of motorsports. Through seven ARCA Menards Series starts in 2026 with MBM Motorsports, she has recorded five top-15 finishes while establishing herself as one of NASCAR’s rising stars. Before transitioning to stock cars, Spurlock competed as a standout motorcycle drag racer in both XDA and NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle competition.
Ahead of Friday night’s race, Spurlock will return to Highland Springs, Virginia, for a homecoming celebration on Thursday, Aug. 13. The day begins with a noon press conference at Highland Springs High School, followed by a community appearance from 3-5 p.m. ET at McDonald’s on Chamberlayne Avenue in Richmond, presented by Holeman Enterprises, LLC.
“Coming back to Highland Springs means everything to me. This is where it all started,” said Spurlock. “I used to walk these halls dreaming about what was possible, and now I get to come back and celebrate this moment with the community that raised me before I get behind the wheel this weekend.”
Spurlock’s addition further reflects Team Reaume’s commitment to creating opportunities within the sport while highlighting the partnerships that continue to fuel the organization’s growth. Her debut at Richmond marks another milestone for the team as it continues to expand its presence in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series.
“We are excited to welcome Dystany to Team Reaume and give her the opportunity to compete in front of her hometown fans at Richmond Raceway,” said Josh Reaume, owner of Team Reaume. “Dystany has already made history in NASCAR, and we are proud to be part of her journey as she continues to break barriers and inspire the next generation of racers.”
What began on local tracks in Virginia has evolved into one of motorsports’ most inspiring stories. Returning home with Team Reaume for her Richmond debut, Spurlock will look to add another memorable chapter to her historic 2026 season. Fans can watch the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Black’s Tire 250 presented by BTS Rewards live from Richmond Raceway on FS1 beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET on Friday, Aug. 14.
