Waypoint Vets Announces 2nd Annual Charity Ride and Fundraiser with Full Donation Match

Waypoint Vets Inc, a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization with the mission of Uniting and Empowering Veterans through Activities and Adventure will host their second annual charity motorcycle ride and fundraiser event. The two-part event on Saturday, April 30,2022 begins with a free breakfast and ride from the Elks Lodge in Gallatin, TN to Madison, TN. The fundraising launch party event starts at noon with a presentation of the colors, singing of the national anthem, POW/MIA/KIA table ceremony, 21-gun salute and TAPS. There will be live music from The Rosewood Grips and Shawn Mayer and local food and craft beer will be available for purchase. All donations will be matched, dollar for dollar by sponsor, Hot Shot’s Secret.

Hot Shot’s Secret founder, Chris Gabrelcik, became so impressed with Waypoint Vets’ mission of uniting and empowering Veterans, he chose to financially sponsor the organization’s first inaugural canyoneering event in October 2020 with a $10,000 gift. Upon learning the positive impact, it had on the Veteran participants, he encouraged Lee to start a 30-Day GoFundMe Charity campaign and fully matched all donations to raise funds for five new adventures in 2021. This year, Hot Shot’s Secret is stepping up to help send veterans on eight new adventures with Waypoint Vets with a designated increase to $50,000 in matched donations.

“Waypoint Vets facilitates opportunities of camaraderie and healing for military veterans completely free of charge,” says Lee. “Our adventures combine physical and mental intensity with the stillness and beauty of nature. The heartbeat of Waypoint Vets mission is Honoring our Fallen by Living, and taking back our health and happiness together. Each participant is given custom dog tags with the names of the fallen they want to honor. We carry them along with us on all our adventures to not only honor the memory of those lost in war but also as a remembrance of the war they may be experiencing within. I am vowing to be an active part of the solution to combat the issues faced by veterans that can lead to despair or worse. We were not able to hold our fundraiser last year because of COVID. I hope we will have an excellent turnout this year to support this mission.”
