VP RACING TO FUEL PRO SUPERSTAR SHOOTOUT AT BRADENTON MOTORSPORTS PARK
VP Racing Fuels, Inc., the global leader in performance fuels, lubricants, and additives, announced today that VP Racing will be supplying nitromethane, methanol, and other racing fuels at the Inaugural SCAG Power Equipment Pro Superstar Shootout at Bradenton Motorsports Park, February 8-10, 2024.
“We’re excited to participate and be a part of the Pro Superstar Shootout,” said Freddie Turza, Technical Manager at VP Racing Fuels. “We have close ties to most of the professional teams from our previous 20-year relationship as official fuel for the NHRA. In recent years, however, we’ve not been included as a service provider, so we’re excited to return with Pro Group for an event of this magnitude. The PRO Superstar Shootout features top drivers from Top Fuel, Funny Car, and Pro Stock, competing for an incredible $1.3 million purse. The Top Fuel and Funny Car teams will compete for $250,000 each, while the Pro Stock winner will earn $125,000.

The pro racers will be joined at the PRO Superstar Shootout by racers from other exciting series, including FTI Performance Top Sportsman, Stock, and Super Stock. This fan-focused event will include live music, food trucks, and a vendor village, including a large VP Merchandise Trailer so fans can get their popular VP gear.
“The PRO Superstar Shootout is a special event bringing together all the top teams,” said Chris Wall, VP Racing Senior Director of East Coast Race Fuel Sales. “Our roots are in drag racing since our start nearly 50 years ago, so for us, fueling this inaugural event is a big deal. The majority of VP management are either former racers, engine builders, or team owners – we’re racers at heart, so we’re pumped!”
