Toyota Gazoo Racing Europe rebrands as Toyota Racing ahead of 2026 season

Toyota and Toyota Racing have changed the company name of the European research and development center and subsidiary from Toyota Gazoo Racing Europe to Toyota Racing, effective January 7, 2026.

Toyota Racing aims to strengthen the foundation for Toyota’s long-term technological development by applying and advancing technologies through motorsport activities.

Toyota competed in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) as Toyota Gazoo Racing from 2016 to 2025. From the start of the 2026 season, the team will participate as Toyota Racing and will introduce the updated TR010 Hybrid Hypercar.

Gazoo Racing (GR) will continue to strengthen customer engagement through participation in the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) and customer motorsport with the GR Yaris Rally2 and GR Supra GT4. Toyota Racing will continue to support GR by supplying rally engines and producing GT4 cars. The company will also promote Toyota’s motorsport activities using production vehicles, developing both cars and personnel in a competitive environment.
