Tire suppliers chosen for FIA European Autocross and Cross Car Championships
Following a tender process and an e-vote by the Off-Road Commission, ASR Tyres and Schuurman BV have been selected by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile as the exclusive tire suppliers for the FIA European Autocross Championship and the FIA European Cross Car Championship, for the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
ASR distributes competition tires at regional, national and international level, while Schuurman’s expertise in global distribution is set to aid the needs of the championships.
The collaboration comes after a supplier analysis that assessed their technical and sustainable capabilities, looking at ASR’s provision of Kumho tires for Autocross Super Buggy, Buggy 1600 and Junior Buggy, and Schuurman’s provision of Goldspeed tires for Cross Car and Cross Car Junior.
FIA rally director, Andrew Wheatley, said, “The supply of tires is critical to the FIA’s running of these championships and will help to continue strengthening them. The FIA European Autocross and Cross Car Championships are key proving grounds for off-road talent and often where future champions get their start, so it’s crucial they have the highest quality equipment available to them.”
