Steve Fox named AERA President/CEO
The Automotive Engine Rebuilders Association (AERA) is pleased to announce that longtime AERA employee Steve Fox has been appointed to the President/CEO of AERA.
Steve brings over 40 years of experience in the engine rebuilding and performance industry to his new position. He began his career working alongside his parents at Champion Racing Engines in Indianapoils, Indiana, where he spent 13 years building a solid foundation in engine performance and engine machining.
Steve graduated with an associate’s degree in Automotive Aftermarket Management from Northwood University in Midland, Michigan. He joined AERA in 1996, where he has dedicated more than 30 years to supporting and advancing the association in many areas. Starting in the Technical Services department, assisting members by providing expert guidance and troubleshooting through technical support calls. His commitment, experience, and leadership abilities led to his promotion in 2014 to Vice President of Operations, where he was a key contributor in many of the new programs like Prosis Pro software, online training, AERA technical conferences, Engine Professional magazine, podcasts and more.
A lifelong auto racing enthusiast, Steve spent much of his early years immersed in the drag racing circuit, further fueling his passion for engines and performance. His career reflects a deep dedication to our industry, a commitment to service, and a genuine enthusiasm for the work he does. AERA is in great hands as we move into another chapter.
