2026 Dodge Charger Hustle Stuff Drag Pak by Direct Connection makes world debut
Drag racing has always rewarded the bold. And today, Dodge just staked a massive claim on the future of Flexjet NHRA Factory Stock Showdown with an announcement that bridges 60 years of Hemi history with the edge of modern muscle.
Meet the 2026 Dodge Charger Hustle Stuff Drag Pak by Direct Connection—the first-ever Charger-based Drag Pak, the lightest factory-built Dodge race car in the modern program’s history, and a machine engineered not just to win… but to reset expectations.
The message from Auburn Hills is clear: “The Dodge Charger Hustle Stuff Drag Pak is mission-engineered to equip our FSS drivers with an upgraded, championship-winning, supercharged Hemi race engine wrapped in a next-level race car incarnation of the all-new Dodge Charger,” said Kevin Kidd, motorsports competition director for Stellantis American Brands. “The Challenger Drag Pak’s swan song was back-to-back NHRA Factory Stock Showdown crowns, and this first-ever Charger Drag Pak is purpose-designed to extend Dodge’s legacy of drag strip domination.”
A New Shape for Factory Stock Supremacy
A New Shape for Factory Stock Supremacy
For the first time ever, Dodge is moving its modern Drag Pak platform to the Charger—bringing the aggressive, heritage-inspired widebody look of the street car into the NHRA staging lanes. But this isn't a Hemi-swapped street car—it’s a full-blown race car. Here’s what we know:
- The wide stance and sculpted body lines of the all-new Dodge Charger street car
- Special plaque on billet cover of the 3.0L Whipple supercharger indicates production number on each of the limited-edition, turnkey drag cars
- Engineered with upgrades, including newly designed GEN III aluminum Hemi engine block, all-new H-beam connecting rods, Diamond aluminum pistons, all-new forged-steel eight-counterweight crankshaft and more
- Charger Hustle Stuff Drag Pak capable of sub-eight-second elapsed times off the showroom floor
All-new, upgraded and strengthened four-link rear suspension with Mark Williams Enterprises rear axle with a 10-inch pitch Richmond gearset, 40-spline gundrilled axles, 7075 billet axle tubes, and 4.30:1 final drive ratio - Reduction of both static and rotating weight throughout for increased performance compared with the previous-generation Challenger Drag Pak
- Hustle Stuff equipment includes all-new, lightweight, carbon-fiber front fascia, hood, doors and hatch — new Drag Pak is 100 lbs. lighter than the 2023–25 Challenger Drag Pak
- Engineered with lightweight K member and front and rear bumpers
- Three-speed Coan TH400-style transmission with micro polished internals and lightweight aluminum driveshaft for maximum strength and performance
- Double-adjustable coilover shocks developed specifically for the Charger Drag Pak
- Holley EFI Dominator ECU and Racepak 6.86-inch digital dash display
- Fully programmable Racepak Smartwire power distribution module
Hustle Stuff
If you were a racer in the 1970s, Hustle Stuff wasn’t a slogan—it was a lifestyle. It was Mopar’s catalog of performance imagination and lightweight weapons. It was hope in print form. It was “we’re going to find the speed nobody else can.” Resurrecting that name matters. It’s a declaration that this car isn’t marketing gloss—this is the next chapter in the factory-backed drag-racing arms race. This is also the first race car to wear the return of the SRT Performance banner, tying together: Direct Connection performance parts, factory motorsports engineering, Dodge’s NHRA program and Ram’s NASCAR Truck Series return.

$26,000 Contingency Payment To Claim in 2026
Dodge is offering $26,000 in NHRA Contingency program money to the first driver to take a Charger Hustle Stuff Drag Pak to a Factory Stock Showdown win. That’s not just support. That’s a statement. That’s Dodge reminding the world that factory cars still matter, still inspire, and still define eras. The Charger era enters with energy we haven’t felt since 2008—when factory drag programs came roaring back and changed NHRA Sportsman racing forever.
