The suspension springs are primarily manufactured with high tensile grade Chrome Silicon (CrSi) alloy wire. It is an ideal material for providing the lightest spring possible when utilizing carbon-based steel. However, there are many alloys available to produce a custom suspension spring including Titanium if you are seeking the lightest spring possible.
