Type II Anodizing Services

Automatic Anodizing
offers industrial-grade coating services that are unsurpassed in quality and strength. Our Type II anodization service is a Mil-Spec compliant process that provides excellent protection and consistent satisfaction, backed by a customer service team committed to fast turnarounds and complete coverage of customer needs. Small, advanced precision parts requiring protection will benefit greatly from this service.

This Type II anodization process functions by expanding the pores of substrate aluminum parts, which prevents oxidation and increases durability. Automatic Anodizing uses an electro-chemical approach taking place in tanks. After an etching prep, a Type II sulfuric acid is used to add .0001″ to .001″ of black or clear colored anodized coating. Follow-up salt spray, pH, and thickness testing confirm coating stability and strength.

This state-of-the-art process is highly flexible, applicable to singular prototypes or large runs of products. Anodization takes place within an ISO 9001:2008 facility and is also RoHS compliant. To learn more about this service, see the table below, or contact Automatic Anodizing today.
