This is a product image of our 7/16" step washers for aluminum heads, Part # 30420 machined from 4130 chrome moly, heat treated and finished in black oxide. Step washers are designed to prevent the Aluminum from collapsing into the bolt hole when torquing heads. Our 7/16" Precision Reamer/Spot facer Part # 30460 is designed to machine cylinder head bolt holes to accept our step washers. Step washers and Reamers are also available in 3/8" , 1/2" and 9/16".
