Pulling world mourns loss of industry leader, innovator David P. Schreier

David P. Schreier, whose leadership of the WPI/National Tractor Pullers Association (NTPA) spanned four decades, passed away on December 2nd at the age of 84.

"We wish to extend our condolences to the Schreier family on David's passing," commented Jonathan Mears, Chief Competition Officer of the PPL. "He was very instrumental in the progression of truck and tractor pulling as a sport."

Larry Richwine, PPL's Safety and Technical Advisor who worked closely with Schreier for over thirty years, offered, "The truck and tractor pulling world has lost a great man. Dave was at the forefront of NTPA safety innovations, helping the NTPA to be an early partner with SFI Foundation along with the NHRA. He personally brought Chevrolet to pulling in a sponsorship program that was one of the longest running agreements of its' kind with that auto manufacturer."
