Nova Motorsport acquires Avon Tyres assets
SPC Rubber Group’s new motorsport brand, Nova Motorsport, has become the global supplier of a wide range of Avon Motorsport tire products, including its premium, competition and specialist tires.
Founded by Paul Hallas, managing director of parent company SPC, Nova acquired the assets, including the brand license for Avon Motorsport and Avon Racing, after the UK company closed at the end of last year.
With a new commercial headquarters in Wiltshire in the UK, Nova Motorsport has secured all residual stock from the Cooper Tire & Rubber Company to deliver consistent service and supply, and an extended range is scheduled for introduction in the second half of 2024.
Nova Motorsport founder Paul Hallas said, “Leveraging these valuable assets we will proudly continue the legend with the vast majority of the Avon Motorsport range of tire products, and also innovate with new offerings borne out of our long-established expertise in rubber compounding at SPC Group.
