ur new Deluxe DUI for Street/Strip applications encompasses every feature you could want in an ignition system. The already popular Chevrolet Street/Strip DUI is upgraded with new features for the ultimate Davis Unified Ignition package!
First, we added the new Cross-Fire Cap which allows the plug wires to be neatly routed to each cylinder bank. No wires cross each other for an orderly arrangement. Our small block V8 LiveWires, part number CF-C9053, are the perfect fit! Includes our 50,000 volt DUI coil for opening the plug gaps to .055″. The Cross-Fire Cap is available only in black but can be painted to match the theme of any engine compartment.
Second is the adjustable slip collar with 7/8″ of adjustability. This is great if you have decked heads or a milled block, which changes the distance between where the distributor rests on the intake and where it meshes with the cam gear. This will insure precise installation and prevent damage to the distributor and/or cam gear from bottoming on the oil pump.
Third, we have added the Carbon Ultra-Poly Composite gear for compatibility with ANY camshaft. Whether you run a solid, hydraulic, factory roller or steel billet roller, this gear will provide unmatched strength and reliability. Solves wear problems associated with other gears.
Lastly, as with all of our DUI Distributors, we calibrate the mechanical advance curve using a Sun Distributor Machine. The super smooth advance is designed to provide instant throttle response and more power throughout the RPM range. We coordinate the centrifugal advance with the vacuum advance to prevent engine damaging detonation.
